Regard d'auteur, saison 6 : la communauté appartient à ses clients

Yes, you read that right : more than 5 years after its creation, Regard d'auteur is taking a new start !

The summer period has been busy for many photographers and we hope for you too. We hope you had a great summer and made a lot of beautiful photo shoots, weddings and other events. We wish you to continue to take pleasure in your activity, to have a great time with your clients (who sometimes become or are already friends). And above all: we wish you to have or to set up a profitable and prosperous business for the months and years to come <3

Meanwhile at Regard d'auteur, summer is always synonymous with a break: it's a chance to recharge the batteries but also to take stock of the changes to be made to the company. We have taken the decision that makes the most sense when talking about community: giving the keys to the community to our customers.

We will therefore build a new team: the Regard d'auteur staff. It will be composed of independent professional photographers, who will be able to invest in their mission from a distance and be paid according to what they bring. Some of the most committed members of the staff will form a steering committee that will be consulted regularly to make the best decisions together, as close as possible to the photographers' expectations.

What does this change imply ?

The site regardauteur.com will expand its team, which will now consist of freelancers, professional photographers who already have a good experience in the field and who want to participate in a new challenge: develop Regard d'auteur in France and around the world. Some photographers among our French customers or of other nationalities will join the Regard d'auteur team and will each have a mission that they will be able to carry out remotely:
* development of the community,
* development of trainings,
* setting up new photo contests,
* development of partnerships,
* development of charitable actions,
* animation of social networks
* moderation on our Facebook groups.

 Among the members of this new staff, the most invested in the development of Regard d'auteur will form a board with the founder Thibaut to develop together services always closer to the expectations of photographers. The time and energy that each member of the team will devote to Regard d'auteur will be rewarded by benefits in kind or a financial incentive depending on your involvement: it's a bit like becoming a shareholder of Regard d'auteur, without the complications!

In short, the goal is to return to the essence of Regard d'auteur: a collaborative community, built by photographers, for photographers. All this while capitalizing of course on the great work already done, especially in SEO and in the development of supported training.

This constituted team will be able to exchange entirely remotely, without the need to create regular meetings. Concerning the board, the necessary decisions will be taken by votes proposed in writing: everyone is involved and responds according to his schedule and his constraints.

Why such a change ?

Regard d'auteur has never had the vocation to make its shareholders millionaires: like you, we chose photography by passion and like you, we are aware that it is not in photography that we will one day drive a yacht (and it is not our ambition). Since the creation of the brand, we have always made decisions in the best interest of the profession and the community, in respect of our values. Photography seems to us to be going through a new tumultuous period with the difficult economic situation and we simply believe that we will be stronger together!
Together, we can do anything! <3

Who can join the Regard d'auteur staff ?

Any professional photographer, active or retired, can join the staff and/or the board, take an active part in the community and everyone will be paid according to what he/she has contributed. The more varied the points of view, the better the exchanges will be: a vote for each major decision will allow us to move forward together. You will therefore be able to find trainers, photographers active in the community, union representatives or not. Business leaders who are partners of Regard d'auteur or who wish to become partners are also welcome.

When and how to apply ?

Photographers who wish to join the Regard d'auteur staff can write to us at [email protected], no later than September 18th. Thibaut, founder of RA, and his two associates (who financially supported the project at its creation to allow it to exist) will meet after this date to choose the members of the new staff.

Is it voluntary or paid ?

Regard d'auteur is a community created in the form of a company: we are not a non-profit association but a community that needs means to continue to grow. We will therefore reward those who invest themselves in two ways:
* By services in kind (visibility, training, contests) for those who invest themselves on missions without financial interest (Facebook group moderation, social networks animation, etc)
* By a financial commission according to the turnover brought to the company, for those who invest in the development of Regard d'auteur and recommend the brand to their network (when Regard d'auteur earns money, you earn money). These commissions will be paid upon simple invoicing by the staff members concerned.

The most invested staff members will eventually benefit from a profit-sharing on the company's turnover, like a partner.

What are the constraints and what is the required profile ?

During these first 5 years, we have noticed how good you are as photographers, but some of you also have many hidden talents: indeed, many photographers are nowadays in double activity and master marketing, communication, customer relationship, social media management, etc.
There are no constraints, you participate as you can, when you can. You remain independent and can enjoy your professional freedom: this is a new part of the Regard d'auteur story to be written together and which will bring you as much as you devote to it.

We are looking for motivated, talented and fun profiles. There is no age limit, nor any discrimination... Come as you are, but especially with your goodwill and your desire to participate in the evolution of the profession! Photographers with several years of experience will certainly be more likely to join the staff and meet the needs of the community.
We are aware that some photographers have already invested themselves and participated in the construction of Regard d'auteur: if you recognize yourself in this sentence and wish to continue to do so by reaping the fruits of your investment, we will be happy to find you in our new staff!

Are you the right person to participate ?

No constraint, no typical profile, no schedule or travel to invest and perhaps offer you a complementary income! Regard d'auteur wishes to propose a modern vision of the team's functioning. If you are a professional freelance photographer and have some free time each week, our staff will certainly be well adapted to your schedule.
When we created Regard d'auteur, we had a dream: to make your photography service known in France and around the world for its ability to mark the history of each family and to make children and adults dream. We wish to continue to spread a vision of photography:
* respectful of the photographers craftsmen and allowing them to live with dignity,
* respectful of the environment,
* committed against all forms of discrimination
* Participating in charitable actions (like the fundraiser for Souvenange in late 2019 and the Pink October 2021 campaign).
